Les Carroz is a traditional savoyard village in the Grand Massif area of the French Alps. In winter, the free village ski bus takes you 500m to the main lift, which then gives you direct access to 265 kilometres of pistes. During the main summer holiday season the ski lift still operates, giving effortless access to the high mountain pastures and treks. And in spring and autumn the village becomes quieter, allowing you to walk all day in the mountains without seeing a soul, apart from perhaps the occasional deer or marmot.

The village has a good variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, as well as a regular market on Tuesday's.
